The three non-secret, non-sexy fitness truths that guide every excellent fitness plan.
Ryan’s Favorite Fundamental Fitness Truths
1. The benefits of exercise are compounding
For exercise to help us, it needs to be done consistently and frequently over an extended period of time. Unfortunately there are no quick fixes, no short cuts, and no “fitness hacks” that can overcome this fact. That’s why I prioritize providing world class personalized fitness experiences, with special month packages for one, two or three days a week. Guaranteeing you start gaining the benefits of exercise while enjoying the experience of the process.
2. SAID principal guides changes
The SAID Principal, or Specific Adaptations to Imposed Demands, is the technical way of stating that our body makes very specific changes to the exercise we do with regularity. If you run often, your heart, lungs and muscular endurance will change. If you do a ton of dumbbell bicep curls, your arms will grow. Utilizing the SAID principal is how we will plan the perfect personalized fitness experience allowing us to prioritize the exercises you need to be the best version of yourself.
3. Progressive overload keeps us improving
As our bodies adapt, our exercises will become easier. That is when our physical changes will slow or halt, plateauing our development. So over time we will need to increase the difficulty of our exercises. This can be accomplished by increasing the weight lifted, increasing the total repetitions completed, or increasing the total number of sets performed. This is where I will use my years of education and training experience to ensure you are growing stronger safely and effectively as your program develops. Maximizing the benefits of your personalized fitness experience.
